When I was interacting with the three other members of my group, I acted in a way which made me appear as if I am intelligent and that I paid attention during class. When I first met the members of my group, I cheerfully said "Hi!" and gave them a wide smile. I wanted to appear as if I am an open and welcoming person. As the conservation continued, I made sure to contribute to the discussion, but was careful to not dominate the conversation. I did not want my peers to think I was stuck-up or a know-it-all. Furthermore, I made eye contact with my peers as they spoke, nodded my hear and muttered "mhmm" to make it clear to my peers that I was listening to what they were saying, and only spoke where there was a lull in the conversation. I was careful to not interrupt my peers and to add onto their ideas using the information that we have learned in class. I acted in a way that others would consider to be respectuful and active. There were three other students in my group. One of the students (Student #1) in my group is an athlete here at Rice. She was incredibly intelligent and provided insight that I would not have thought of on my own. I was surprised by her ideas about how to improve student performance. I had assumed that, because she was a student-athlete, she would not participate in the …show more content…
Although one student acted in a fairly obnoxious manner, the other two students in the group smiled back at me when I smiled at them. They also made eye contact or, if they were typing notes, nodded as I shared my ideas about how to improve group performance. I think that the group overall liked and accepted me. As I shared my ideas, they furiously typed and added onto what I had to say. The students in the group did not, in my opinion, explicitly indicate that they did not like or accept me. None of the students talked over me as I spoke or brushed off my ideas as soon as they left my
She contributed by writing her own questions and the cross-examination questions for Miss Ivane with Anna. I thought Megan, Jess, and Aneesa did a great job at memorizing their character and answering the cross examination questions during the trial. I wrote the cross-examinations for Bertha and Professor Howe, as well as the closing statement. I also reviewed the direct questions and answers to ensure they could not be objected too. We all finished our work in a timely manner during the class work time, or had our assigned parts completed to discuss.

I had the privilege of sitting in an Al-Anon group session. Based on research (Cory) Al-Anon would be describes as a therapeutic group. A therapeutic group is made up of individuals who want to change themselves and their lives. Group interactions were interesting. This particular meeting was called a “newcomers” meeting which added another touch.
I am always respectful to all people, including my peers and teachers and I always take the opportunities I have to improve my academic performances. Last year I joined many after school curriculums like art club, dance club and yearbook club. There are 5 things that affect the student I am in the 1LT Charles W. Whitcomb Middle School.
I expected more of them to at least acknowledge and smile or wave or something, but that didn’t happen. This might’ve been because they were familiarized with me and saw no need to. I then moved on to people that I didn't talk to or hung around. This group of people either smiled
All students have the possibility to learn and with the proper experience, they will focus. There are many different ways used to build respect and a positive rapport with students. One that has always work is helping the students feel comfortable with the environment. When the environment is positive and comfortable to the students, the student tends to worry less and be natural. Building a positive rapport is not easy and it takes time and dedication.
I am the same as Mr. Berger-White was. I did not raise my hand very much during this class, or any class at all. I did not take the risk to raise my hand and share my ideas or thoughts on something even if I wanted to. I did not put myself out there and speak and if I might have, I could have had a different experience in the class. The importance of taking risks have been
I was nervous because I was by myself, but I was also confident because I knew I needed to be their leader. A good leader is asking for help when they need it and I did just that. I asked the juniors if I missed any commands or anything that was important. Now, Harloff and Webb are taking away SmartMusic which is a program that helps us learn our music.

Her speech is a motivational speech for the graduates but as well a form of occasion speech because it has experience, comfort, empathy, and humor. She gives encouraging words to make them proud of their achievements. The target audience is the graduates, their families, and the teachers. Her tone in the speech
I spoke of how much it hurt me when they were teased, and explained how much it lacked even common sense, still less the higher-order thinking skills our teacher was always talking about. I could not have my friends in the class during a business day, but I had the sense to tape my presentation which, almost for the first time, went well for
Since the goal for this class, was to finished presenting their work orally and visually, students were prompted to provide positive on constructive feedback, to follow the class agreements (rules) they created at the beginning of the year, and they only practiced for about seven minutes (pair and share). After the students did collaborative learning, they went back to their seat. Then, a few students presented their poems as the rest of the class listened and rated the presenters. Unfortunately, some of Mrs. Carbone’s students
During both observation days there was no behavior problems. It was a well obtained class, and I am excited to continue participating in this classroom. One student during the classes library visit came up and gave me a big hug. He would not let go for the longest time. This class has a special place in my heart and I only been in there two times.
She talks about how her disability does not keep her back from doing what she wants to do. She has been in 6 continents and 20 different countries speaking to people about her journey and motivating them to follow their dreams. She has spoken to hundreds of students in Ghana telling them to push their limits and prove everyone who doubts you wrong. Jessica Cox is a person that I look up to and inspires me to go after my dreams. She is interesting because of her life story and surprises people with what she can do.
