With uniforms in hand, after school clothes won't be wasted, school uniforms will be only used in school. School uniforms are exactly that, a uniform, instead of a fashion statement. School Uniforms can even limit some of the pressures that keep students from wanting to attend school. Some students in daily life in school face peer pressure with the outfit their in, or what others are in. Peer pressure can occur because of clothing, students get so pressured about the issue and decide not to go to school.
That can be responsible for some people not buying the uniform, and some schools make a strict policies about not having the uniform on. Tarshis’s article (2014), addresses that some style of uniform does not match the poor kid, and it will be another struggle for the kid rather than helping the student. Another reason is that the students suit up a kind to convey their personality. When schools start to put a type of uniform, it will limit the person to not express their feeling or their personality. But however uniform help the student to be static and behave well, and also it will increase their achievement to a higher level.
Some noticed that when pupils are in shop the security guard were more likely to follow them around, which is kind of weird. Wearing uniforms was claimed to improve behavior in lessons themselves. Pupils were reported for being more focused and committed. The reason is because pupils don’t need to worry about their clothes either it is “cool” or not, it is not disturbing them from their school
In conclusion, school uniforms are a great thing to have in schools. Even though there is that argument on whether school uniforms will violate the right of self-expression to students it will continue either way. At the end of the day students should see that there are more positive effects with uniforms rather than negative ones. It should be taking in consideration that the clothes a student wears will not determine the ability of learning, but why not pick school uniforms that can help stop current school
But, having school uniforms or a "dress-code" isn’t something for the students to worry about. But requiring students to wear a school uniform would limit what they could wear. This problem shouldn’t stop them from progressing in their classes. But the point of having a school is to educate the students, it's not a fashion show. There are numerous amounts of people that bully others because of their, "style of clothing".
What’s the purpose of uniforms in the first place? I don’t think we should wear uniforms because who want 's to wear uniforms first off? Uniforms are mainly for private schools or maybe not even. We are a public school. If we wear uniforms it will take away creativity away from students.
When uniforms are in place, there is not significant , which makes students feel closer to one another bringing a more positive environment. “But some research suggests uniforms do indeed result in a more harmonious school environment, including Impact of School Uniforms on Academic Achievement and Student Behaviour, published in the U.S. in 2009” (Hassan, Toronto SUN). A more harmonious environment equates to a more peaceful workplace for students. The calmer the environment the less violence is likely to happen thus keeping students safe. Not only does this prevent bullying, but it saves families money.
In hopes to solve such problems, some schools even implemented school uniforms. By enforcing school uniforms, schools hope that uniforms will decrease the pressure felt by students to wear the most popular trends and lessen the harsh judgement of other students. As stated by the website ProCon.org, “when all students are dressed alike, competition between students over clothing choices and the teasing of those who are dressed in less expensive or less fashionable outfits can be eliminated” (“Should”). By having students dress in uniforms, schools create a new normal that is more equal for all students. Unfortunately, not everywhere as made this change.
The first reason public schools should not have uniforms is that regardless of what school conform proponents say, school uniforms will not prevent bullying or gang ties. Second, Students are being refrained of the ability to express themselves. Third, uniforms are teaching students conformity rather than individuality. Although school uniforms may have benefits, students will
Clothing of choice can be argued as a method of expressing personal identity as well as beliefs (Swafford 8). A student may like to wear a new outfit every other day, or wear more comfortable clothing. Evans believes that uniforms are not required to prevent wearing clothes that represent gangs, as there should already be rules that prevent this (Evans 3). Many parents corroborate this and believe school uniforms are not required to further students education, and that it can be done by placing basic rules on what can and can not be worn in school. While rules such as these are enforced in schools that lack a dress code, they can only do so much to prevent
