In the United States, the Second Amendment protects the right to “bear arms”. The Amendment states, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” (U.S. Constitution. Amendment Ⅱ). This means that a strong military is a necessity for a safe country and household, so dictating the people’s right to own firearms is considered unconstitutional . Self defense and hunting are the most common reasons for owning a weapon in the U.S. Although this Amendment declares restricting firearms unconstitutional, it is nationally debated whether the use of weaponry is a collective or personal matter.
Open carryment should be legal for all the people because they need to protect themselves from the other shooter near them so open carryment is helpful for other people .”Open carry advocates seek to normalize the carrying of firearms in public places and often use open carrying to protest what they see as unjust state firearms laws. While members of the open carry movement argue that they are just “exercising their rights,” The open carrying of firearms intimidates the public, wastes law enforcement resources, and creates opportunities for injury and death due to the accidental or intentional use of firearms”.(open carry summary). Open carrying poses particular challenges for law enforcement officers who must respond to 911 calls from concerned citizens about people carrying guns in public, carrying a gun in public aint harmful but it can be if they look suspicious but other than that people shouldn 't worry about a shooting in the public. Open carry advocates create a
These lists do no more than collect tax dollars to support politicians and do nothing to protect wellbeing the public. The goal of the Republican party is to make this country as safe as we can, this means keeping laws like National Firearms Act of 1934 which mandates the registration of all firearms and taxes transfer of ownership and continuing to repeal laws like the Federal Assault Weapons Ban. With reasonable boundaries set in place anyone with a clean criminal record can safely and legally obtain a firearm is he or she desires to do so. With a public that is educated about gun safety and a repeal of certain restricting laws, this country could potentially become the safest place to live. Another way the Republican party will better our country is by removing the racist premises that are associated with open carry situations. "
Right to bear arms is to protect themselves from violent assaults. Unfortunately it can be more dangerous for members of a household than for potential criminals. The Third amendment states “As an american we have the right to protect our privacy and home. This amendment protects our home privacy, that no soldiers could come to your house without permission.
What Does the 2nd Amendment Mean to You? When asked what the second amendment is, one would normally answer “the right to bear arms”, which is true. This right is guaranteed to U.S. Citizens under our Constitution. Due to recent events and circumstances, this freedom and right that has been granted is now threatened by those who feel that it is too “dangerous” to protect yourself. Being that I myself nor any of my family owns a firearm, one might speculate that we do not feel the need for protection.
Now, killers have the right to own a gun, whether someone may be suspicious of them or not. It is their right to own a gun, however if they do turn out to cause harm with that gun then they have infringed on the rights of others. Which brings up the question, “You cannot deny someone’s rights, and however, by enforcing someone’s rights, you might be denying someone else’s basic right to life.”
The general argument made by Shiha Dalmia in her work, “The Case Against Banning Guns” is that guns should not be banned in the United States. Banning guns is not going to stop people from killing other people. There is no possible way to collect every single gun in the U.S. and even if there was, people have other ways and items to hurt others. When something gets banned, everyone seems like they want to do that thing more. Guns should only be used for appropriate activities like hunting, for example, but there is no one to stop people from harming others.
The second amendment states, “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed”, which means that any u.s citizen who qualifies the standards can store a weapon at his/her house. “The second amendment was adopted in December 15, 1791” which was adopted to guarantee us citizens safety; yet, we can 't feel
According to the Second Amendment, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” The Second Amendment specifically states that “the right of the people to keep
A constitutional right: Carrying firearms on college campuses The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. Due to the alarming increase of mass shootings and violence, which have occurred on colleges nationwide, many students, staff, and pro-gun activist have brought attention to the right of allowing concealed firearms on campus. Like other law abiding American citizens, they believe that they are entitled to protect their persons freely without their rights, which have been beautifully bestowed to them by the U.S. Constitution, to be limited or infringed upon. I believe that firearms should be allowed on college campuses.
Next, some people say that they feel safe and secure when they have the right to bear arms as it can protect them from bad guys. However, with guns, people usually die. Moreover, without proper training it is also not safe to the users. This is the modern world, if someone kills someone or hurts someone in your family or you, does not give you the right to use deadly weapons to defend yourself. There are services which are there to protect people.
Numerous people own firearms and pose no threat to public safety. However, when individuals with a history of violence, substance abuse, and serious mental illness can access firearms due to the existing gun laws, the risk of deadly violence increases greatly. Guns should only be in the battlefield and not in the schools, movie theaters, churches, and communities. To make gun laws make more sense to people, a culture of gun safety should be established.
The core of the Second Amendment is self-defense. Tennessee believes that guns are not a problem that is causing violence, the people that misuse the firearms are the problem. Tennessee fully supports the idea that the gun does not do the killing, the person who uses the gun does the killing. Mass shootings and large amounts of violence within the state can be avoided if individuals have the right to bear arms. The national issue of firearm control raises a point that the more accessible guns are to people, the easier it is for them to fall into the wrong hands.
Gun Control "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government." As Thomas Jefferson stated, this right of citizens is a way of self defense. This has been a right of the people in America for centuries, why should this right be taken away now? Enforcing of this law could increase attacks, restrict good citizens, and take away a means of defense from the people.
The Bill of Rights was ratified on December 15, 1791 written by James Madison. The Bill of Rights was written and added into the Constitution in order to protect the rights of the citizens. The Bill of Rights was added into the Constitution by a compromise between the Anti-Federalists and the Federalists. Federalists were citizens who supported the new Constitution. While Anti-Federalists were another group of citizens who were scared to have another king or a abusive government, basically did not support the Constitution.
