Almost 50 to 75 percent of students are cheating in their school and college and also 80 percent of workers in Kuwait government has cheated in their jobs. What these people should do is called an assignment and it means that people who asked other people or give them order to do it by their experience even in the student life or in work days. The purpose of these assignments is to show the level of the person so the teacher knows about the students or the manager know about the employ. Module Three Rough Draft One of the most common problems in our schooling system is that students cheat. This happens a lot with older students who struggle with the topic that their assignment is on. In “The Shadow Scholar” by Ed Dante, and “Introduction: Fraud and Fundamental Misunderstandings” by Shane Borrowman shows how students cheat to move on in their education. In both of these texts the authors tell their first-hand stories of their different students cheating.
Most Athletes Do Drugs, But Who Really Cares Athletes using performance enhancing drugs have always been in the media. When a beloved athlete is caught using drugs the media tears them apart. Any one’s favorite athlete could become nothing to them after a drug test. The articles “Cheating and CHEATING” by Joe Posnasnski and “We, the Public, Place the Best Athletes on Pedestals” by William Moller, show two sides of the effects of media as well as fame for athletes. As mentioned, “Cheating and CHEATING” by Posnanski gives its own side to the effects of media.
The nature of cheating originates from the common misconception of helping others and a student’s lack of self-confidence. Plagiarism, not so different from cheating, disperses from the broad range of information on today’s technology. Through an authentic study, it has been revealed that teachers have established many students who have cheated their way through complexed assignments. Even misleading students who have kept a high grade point average has been found as participants of academic dishonesty. Today, professors seek to find different measures that should be taken to decrease cheating and plagiarism.
Cheating over the internet is nothing new to the youth of the world right now, and it is said by Perez to be “...enabling students to connect instantly with answers, friends to consult and works to plagiarize” (para. 6). This type of behavior is seen in many different ways and on many different platforms. Texting, for example, is one of the most widely used types of communication, and through this, cheating is just becoming easier. A recent study done by Jeffrey A. Roberts and David M. Wasieleski shows “...that the more online tools college students were allowed to to complete an assignment, the more likely they were to copy the work of others. It seems like this cheating problem is just in our younger society, but this reaches out into college level classes and into the real world.

Sternberg, the author is concerned about a real problem that begins to spread within the whole society, which, in his words “goes much deeper than the occasional incident”. In fact, it is okay for cheaters to cheat, but they do not want to be caught. He starts off by giving two examples for two types of cheating. First, copying the work of someone else and getting exam answers beforehand.
High school and College students’ ethics have elevated over the years and has only increased. Cheating has been a tremendous epidemic for a long period of time and recently skyrocketed because of the creation of smartphones and electronics. Students who are academically dishonest are usually in honors and advanced placement classes because they are challenged and learning a more rigorous curriculum than the other students who are in college prep courses. The reason for their actions is because of academic stress students receive on a daily basis to obtain admirable grades, so they can go to a well-known college.
People presume that cheating/plagiarism is an okay thing to do because no one really informed it on them. Knowing the consequences will give people a reality check on life. The first reason is can stress the student. Extra assignments given to students, can lead to unhealthy levels of stress. If bombarded with countless lessons at school and at home, students may feel stress and anxiety should they fail to complete the assignment on time. Students need to learn in a classroom setting, but they should also be able to spend some time exploring
In schools, cheating and plagiarism is unacceptable. No matter the situation a student may be in, cheating is not the answer. It is unfair for a student to cheat or plagiarize other’s work. Many schools have put an honor code in place, so students understand the seriousness when cheating is taking place. My school does not have an honor code that every student must follow.
So, according to Kenny (2006:16) and Ellery (2008:510), they are more likely to cheat compared to younger students (Sentleng & King, 2012, p 59). Though, it can be argued that the purpose of assignments is to judge the students’ understanding of their content and correct/guide them, if need be, so that they may learn and improve; as failing at things are a part of life and is part of what makes us human (Sentleng & King, 2012). Though, how would one truly judge their work and know their true worth if they were to commit plagiarism by copying word for word or another’s ideas as their own. In some cases, whereby students have a negative attitude or experience towards a particular module, either they feel the module is boring or irrelevant to the aim main of their degree, they may feel the need to plagiarism in order to complete the task faster and move on to something they enjoy (Sentleng & King, 2012, p 59)
Students are given a certain deadline for work that is to be handed up which will put pressure on and tempt students to find the easiest access to the relevant information needed. Students may feel after submitting their own work that they do not receive the result they deserve and therefore could tempt them to take data and information from other sources in the hope to receive a higher grade in their next assignment. Whenever a student uses sourced material, this could be either published primary or secondary material, but can also be information got from other people, it must be indicated. It entails a solid set of values and failure to comply with these standard ethics may constitute an act of plagiarism.
