Growing up in a Christian household has nurtured my walk with God throughout my life. Since a young age, I have known God as my personal savior, but my faith and trust in Him have grown over the past several years. This past summer, I took part in a worship leader internship program at our church, which provided me with the opportunity to plan and lead worship services. Participating in this program helped me grow closer to God, but it also taught me how to be a leader rather than a follower. As God continues revealing His plan for my life, I feel called to attend Verity and to pursue my passion with a career in law enforcement.

Of those 42%, 15-25% will drop-out, and the remaining 17-27% will leave college, for reasons that are less clear.” There is obviously something wrong with our education system as a whole for so many students to drop out of college. Yet, individuals believe that college tuition should be free, and paid for by the government with taxpayer money. Secondary school should not be free because it should not replace the education that should be taught in high school, it will make individuals pay more taxes in order to pay for college tuition and it will motivate student to do good in school.
The first 10 amendments to the U.S. Constitution are collectively known as the Bill of Rights. Largely the product of James Madison, the 10 amendments officially became part of the Constitution in 1791, after being approved by Congress in its initial session in 1789. Initially, 12 amendments were adopted by Congress and sent to the states for ratification or rejection; the first two amendments were not approved, thus leaving the 10 amendments as we know them today. Madison 's speech in the U.S. House of Representatives on June 8, 1789, in which he argued persuasively for the insertion of a document to the Constitution that would protect "the great rights of mankind," still stands today as one of the most consequential speeches in the annals

There are lots of advantages as well as disadvantages entailed with how the first past the post works. A major advantage of the first past the post system is how simple and straightforward it is for the constituents, as well as people around the world to understand it. For example, in the general election in the UK, Natalie McGarry was elected the MP for the Glasgow East constituency because she gained more votes than the other candidate did, by 56.9% of the votes, which is very simple to understand. However, although the first past the post is one of the few system that are easy to understand, it can in fact lead to distorted results that can make people confused. For instance, at the end of world word 2, the winning party who won the election actually received fewer voter than the party coming in second place.

Not only does Howard University fulfill both of these, but Howard also has all of my passions and interests in and outside of the classroom. I am interested in pursuing a Sociology degree within The College of Arts and Sciences. I want to organize my studies with a focus around the black community and urban development. The required and elective courses such as Problems in the Black Community within Howard’s Sociology curriculum will allow me to shape my classes to do this.
The federal tax system is plagued with issues: It doesn 't raise sufficient revenue to back government spending, it is unpredictable, it makes results that are unreasonable, and it impedes monetary productivity. A good tax system raises the incomes expected to fund government spending in a way that is as basic, evenhanded, and development well growth as could reasonably be expected. If someone takes their ex-wife, ex-husband, etc. to the court and they reject to pay child support, the might have to pay a penalty fee, have their license retracted and they might even be forced to go to jail. Child support is a system in which money is paid for the care, supervision and protection of a minor; the payments are made specifically by a divorce spouse or guardian of the child.
