Introduction
This research project has been done to find out what kind of career counselling is most effective to South African school children.
This research will mainly get information from the internet on different articles which I will analyse and come up with a list of career advices which are affective. God created a vast variety in humans which means that some career advices will not be effective on other people but on others it could work.
The percentage of drop outs at universities is increasing and it is appearing that one of the major causes is the lack of effective career counselling at schools.

Dan gives us his best ten pieces of career advices and I strongly believe that some of them could be helpful to students.
Educators should tell their students that it is not a good idea to stay at job they are not passionate about. Getting a job is not only to make money and get fame it is also about enjoying the job too. Learners should be advised to have mentors who live their desired lifestyle. Students would learn what to do each day from their mentors

Processing of findings
The articles I have summarised do not point to a specific career advice which beats the rest by being the most effective. School children are different as well as their minds and understanding. This means that diverse careers advices are a great tool in having an effect on various school children. This does not mean that any old career advice could be put into use, which is why this research task is done.
Educators should go an extra mile at getting their students ready for tertiary education. Students should get the real feeling of the careers they are wishing to follow.
Conclusion
This research included zilch primary research so a lot of work was done in front of the computer monitor. The internet was a great use to me since the books and magazines could not provide the information I needed.
Throughout this project I had to abide with the terms and conditions which were applying. The articles on this topic were limited so a lot of time was spent on getting the right articles. The articles summarised above are reliable due to their scarceness.

Our topic, on the Salem Witch Trial, was chosen because we were inspired by a lesson taught by our 7th-grade social studies teacher, Mr.Wong. He had discussed the Salem Witch Trial as part of the 7th-grade curriculum; we were fascinated by this topic that we wanted to learn more about this event. What captured our interest? It was mostly due to the fact that this topic involved witchcraft since at this day it would most likely not be accepted. We found that the Salem Witch Trial was significant to the US’s history since it foretold the fragility of the US’s society in the past when reacting to a magical threat.
As adults who are responsible for making sure we are put on the right path to succeed, it can be a very daunting task. According to New Haven Independent, “21.0 percent of kids in the Class of 2012 dropped out” (Bailey, Melissa) of our high school. With the intense efforts of making students go to college immediately after graduation, it is very evident that schools are pushed from above (aka the school system) to justify their existence and are forced to compete with graduation rates. These pressures are not about the students but simply just politics, or a way of redemption for New Haven Public Schools. However, the burden of requiring us to make a decision is still unreasonable.
Bethany Hill once stated, “Every child you pass in the hall has a story that needs to be heard, maybe you are the one that needs to hear it.” That quote works because the person might have trouble at home and they might need a counselor to almost let a burden off of their shoulders and tell their story to. Some of the reasons Career Cruising chose being a school counselor for me because I like training and teaching, working with children and providing advice. I am most interested in pursuing a career as a school counselor because of its likeable working conditions, straightforward responsibilities and simple career preparations.
Growing up children have think they know what they want to be when they grow up but as they progress and get older they’re ideal career changes for the most part based on the changes they go threw themselves and experiences. For example I wanted to be an Actress because I would to watch the a lot of movies on the daily basis but then as I got older that changed, my ideal job now is have a good paying job and not have to work excess hours. I Chose Dental assisting because the dentistry field has a lot to offer I have always wanted to work in the health field and unlike medical nursing, Dental Assistants have more control of their schedule also they have a wide variety of options from working in private offices to working in public health departments also offers good hours, pay and
Andy Blevin dropped out of college due to key barriers that all other American college students are forced to deal with. These key barriers such as finances and lack of motivation challenged Blevin, and caused him to leave school. One of the major key barriers that caused him to dropout of college was motivation, “I enjoyed working hard, getting the job done, getting a paycheck,” Blevins recalled. “I just knew I didn’t want to quit.” (88).
When students set out for higher education and prepare for their future they usually have an end goal in mind. When most students come to college, they typically have an idea of what degree to pursue or what they are interested in studying. In Sanford J. Ungar’s article “The New Liberal Arts” he quoted that “The responsibility of higher education today is to prepare people for jobs that do not yet exist” (657). However, whatever job a student ends up in is significantly helped through higher education. With this in mind, college students need to have the skills needed to adapt to any situation and perform in many different ways.
In the essay, “WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING?”, written by Mark Edmundson states his claim on education. Edmunsdon states his claim on how if you want to get a real education in America you’re going to have to fight against the institution that you find yourself in. Edmundson supports his claim with the use of diction and tone, appealing to emotion and referring to personal experiences. With Edmundson’s support the reader is able to get a different outlook of how education is viewed and how to look past certain perceptions and make right decisions.

INTRODUCTION Most of the people consider that being a student is the most enjoyable and stress free part of our life. This is the stage where we are exploring different things in our environment. Being influenced by someone in good or in bad things. This is the stage wherein we have a lot of ambition or goals, that push our limits in order to achieve it in the future.
Growing up, for most people, going to college is not an option- its an expectation. In our society, going to college has become a fundamental part of our education, becoming an adult, and for most people just simply part of our lives. However, as people grow up and experience reality, the realization hits that college may not be as simple as once thought. As much as attending college is expected from the majority of young people, dropping out of college is not. Even with the idealization of the college experience, some students are forced to cut their education short due to a plethora of issues.
