Personal Statement It has long been my ambition to study business at degree level. My main inspiration has come through my extended project qualification on the marketing mix and more specifically what different retail branches do to attract their target market; this project has allowed me to read a number of academically credited journals and numerous web pages which have only broadened my understanding and increased my appetite to widen my knowledge. I am currently reading, “Little Bets” by Peter Sims, which I have found is a very useful motivational book, I was particularly interested in the, “Growth mind-set chapter.” I am currently studying A-level business studies, English literature and psychology. As these courses are essay based,
Focus 2 Assignment – Reflection Upon completing the Focus 2 career assessment program, I am quite impressed at the quality of information it presents. It allowed me to not only look at careers that would fit my personality, but also those that take into consideration the fields I am already interested in. Also, as with any form of self-assessment, there were strengths and weaknesses that I did not expect based on how I feel I live my life currently. Beginning chronologically, the program had me complete two subjective, current measures of my professional career.
Zuhei. M GLPO Spring Essay This is second semester soon to be a senior, it's nerve wrecking but exciting at the same time. Throughout my second semester I have grown in investigating the world and communicate ideas and grown my knowledge and College Career Readiness as a student. This semester has me stressed more than I have before, so stressed about AP exams and college readiness.
Wise County School Board Administration, It has come to the attention of the students that you are considering taking away electives in school. I, as well as the rest of the student body, believe it would be an awful mistake to get rid of electives offered in our school. Electives are a large part of school life today, and can benefit us later on in our careers. In many circumstances, by offering classes such as art, band, and auto mechanics, it allows students to express themselves in doing something they enjoy and are good at. There are jobs for nearly every talent that a person can possess.
Why I chose an apprenticeship over university... Like most college students I had no idea what I wanted to do after I had finished Studying for my A-levels. It seemed like my only option was to go to university, this certainly seemed to be the norm with my peers. So I applied for English Literature and Law Programmes and successfully got conditional offers for both. I then started an LLB Law course at the University of Sunderland in September.

Career Goal I have a few career goals such as becoming an ER registered nurse and a nurse practitioner but fist I want to be an ER registered nurse. For a long time now I could just envision myself in the blue scrub running out to the ambulance as the EMT rushed the patient into the hospital. And successfully collaborating with a team of people to save someone's life.

Considering your lifetime goals, discuss how your current and future academic and extra-curricular activities might help you achieve your goals. My lifetime goal is to travel the world and study how different cultures influence the business of fashion. I believe through exploring varying cultures and exchanges, I will be an asset to stores, magazines, or film productions. As excited as I am to see the beauty, learn about the history and study the design, I am really eager to learn how to run a successful business.
My biggest need is just the need to be better prepared and second to be more organized. Practice and opportunities to speak in front of a group will help to continue to develop speaking skills. During interviews, I dislike questions about how I feel or a time when I reacted a certain way. Just like in a speech situation I feel everything is moving too fast and I need to remember to slow down, take a breath and remember I’ll be fine.

Katie’s success in her company is due to her different positions she took: “having different jobs before I opened my own company helped me to widen my skill sets; to be flexible and adaptable to change; to be creative in my thinking; and to trust my own ability to learn what I needed to grow my business”. Some skills needed for the profession are being able to speak and write clearly, to listen to the needs of clients and respond to those, and to follow through on all promises to engender trust. Adaptability and the ability to work effectively individually and collaboratively is also a skill that you will learn in your experience in and out of school. Skills and tools are made through the process of learning and will grow exponentially if you take the classes, internships, and inquire about
