PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA This chapter deals with the presentation, analysis and interpretation of the results of the study on the effectiveness of ARCS Model of Motivational Design in enhancing the academic performance among Grade 7 students. The data were gathered through the pretest and posttest of the ARCS group and Non-ARCS group. These data were treated using the mean, standard deviation and T-test and are presented using the tabular and textual forms. The presentation follows the order of questions in Chapter 1.
Pretest Performance in Science of the ARCS and Non-ARCS Groups These groups of subjects were equated in terms of their first quarter grade in Science. The pretest was given to both groups on the third

The Non-ARCS group had an average mean of 17.30 while the ARCS group had 21.15 with a mean difference of 3.85. It was found out that both the ARCS and Non-ARCS groups manifested higher extent in learning with the used of two different approach. The result revealed that the t-computed value of 2.57 was greater than the t-tabular value of 1.68 at 0.1 level of significance with 38 degrees of freedom therefor, there was a significant difference between the posttest performance of ARCS and Non-ARCS …show more content…
The pretest had mean of 14.45 while the posttest had 21.15 with mean difference of 6.7. The results revealed that the t-computed value of 4.47 was greater than or beyond the t-tabular value of 1.68 at 0.05 level of significance with 38 degree of freedom. This means that the null hypothesis which stated that no significant difference existed between pretest and posttest performance of the ARCS group was rejected. A significant difference existed between the pretest and posttest of the ARCS group explains that there was an improvement in the academic performance of the respondents after the ARCS group exposed to various strategies. The results imply that the ARCS Model of Motivational Design is an effective strategy in dealing to enhancing the academic performance of the
I. Description of client Danielle Castillo is a 16 year old female. She is a student at Niagara Falls High School; she is involved in the softball team, the color guard, and band. Questions for Lab Activity 15.1 _______________________________________________________________ Did the PACER scores improve for the boys and for the girls as the children aged? Which average scores demonstrate this trend? Did you expect these results? Why or why not?

In the academic year of 2011-2012, I was responsible for increasing the percentage pass of the Living Environment by 10% at the World Academy for Total Community Health High school. The Living Environment Regents pass rate was 47% in 2010-2011. To achieve the goal, I examined the Item Analysis for the January 2012 Living Environment Regents. In summary, the students were only able to master 12 out of 85 questions.
An average standard score (SS) on the WJ IV is 100 and an average range of scores falls between 90 and 110. A percentile rank indicates that a student performed as well as or better than the percent of children her age on whom this test was normed. The confidence interval is a range of scores that is often calculated at the .05 level and suggests that statistically, the student’s score should fall within that range 95% of the time if retested in that area. Isaacs’s scores are based on his chronological age of 14 years and 5 months and 15 days. Isaac’s

The dataset used in the analysis is the grades.dat; it was used to analyze the performance of the students in the GPA and the final. The dataset includes information collected from the survey of 105 students and includes variables such as performance and demographic variables. The variable GPA measures the performance
Part I: High-stakes student testing has challenged many states, districts, and schools across the nation. In some states, students do not advance to the next grade level or receive diplomas without passing standardized tests. What are the validity and reliability issues? What are the consequences of using the scores for making such decisions?
The p-value for the total score t-test was 0.01179. This data shows the results were significant and did not happen by chance. In order to confirm our p-value as accurate, the t-statistic value was 2.65308 which met and exceeded the t-critical value of 2.02809. This solidifies the results as indicating a significant difference between the two sets of total scores data between the principal core students and the cohort students.
4.1 SEX-Dose sex differ will have influence on student’s score? From the histogram graphs above, we can confirm that mean in four subjects are trend to normally distributed. To test whether the mean for reading, writing, math and science is the same for males and females, an independent samples t-test tool is suitable because it can compare the means of a normally distributed interval dependent variable for two independent groups. H0: Females have no significant difference and high mean score than males in reading score H1:
The data were processed and analyzed using SPSS version 18. Frequencies, cross tabulation, Pearson’s, chi-square test, ANOVA were used to analyze the data. A p-value of <0.05 was considered statistically
NABA Club I attended an open AA meeting at the NABA Club located in Atlanta. Upon observation, I noticed that majority of the people attending were in their early forties to late fifties consisting mostly of men. As I walked in, I felt so welcomed at the meeting because of the positive energy surrounding the room. This is one of those places where everyone is and will always be welcome, regardless of their race, religion, or background.
I started doing my field Experience in Lime Kiln Elementary school where I shadowed Mr. Mikalov, a fifth grade teacher, When I first walked into his classroom it was so colorful and full of artworks, student works and inspirational quotes I felt happy walking into his classroom so I would imagine what a fifth grader would feel like. Mr.Mikalov was very generous in showing me around the classroom where they have their group work, reading area on the rug. He showed me the schedule they follow every week, they do math every day from 12:13 to 12:55 and have lunch every day at 11:26- 12:08 and off course I took a picture of it to know when and what they are doing that time. Mr.Mikalov introduced me to the principal who is very nice and welcomed
First, it is important for the teachers to establish a system that recognizes students based on their performance. This is because it was established that lack of recognition was among the causes of the motivation problem. Recognizing students will make them to be motivated to work hard. In this case, both extrinsic and intrinsic recognition be used to motivate students. Next, the instructors should emphasize the importance of academic achievement.
