I. INTRODUCTION
PESTEE analysis is a concept in marketing principles. This concept is widely used as a tool for companies to track and gain insights about the business environment that they are operating in, or business environment that they are planning to enter. In PESTEE, each letter stands for an aspect which needed to analyse about a business environment. P for Political, E for Economic, S for Social, T for Technological, E for Educational and E for Environmental.
The importance of each factor mentioned above might vary according to different contexts and different industries. The country has made increasing foreign investment a major goal for its development. Thus, the government has promoted free trade by actively participating in World Trade Organization (WTO), the Greater Arab Free Trade Area (GAFTA), and Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA). Most importantly, the government has applied many important changes to ease the procedures for doing business and make Egypt appealing in the eyes of foreign investors. Most of the R&D programs funded by the government are concerning agriculture, health, and manufacturing. The Egypt government shows no discrimination against firms from any foreign country which wants to invest in R&D programs (U.S. Department of State, 2015). Egypt government has made effort to improve its Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) regime even though the enforcement of this legal protection is still weak. The laws of IPR in Egypt recognized protection for patents, copyrights (with more protection for motion picture and sound, as well as computer software), plant varieties, trademarks, industrial designs, and integrated circuit layout designs. These laws have various shortcomings and Egypt still ranks poorly internationally and regionally in the level of IPR, however, these laws marked a significant improvement in intellectual property
