Many people ask the question why should people go to college, when the real question is why not? College is a place where students can gain knowledge on subjects they are interested in. This area within the world has amazing opportunities where you will be able to make friends and it is a place where you can gain certain skills to be proficient in your future job. Life is a place in which people are able to take risks and make the most of what life throws at them. People sometimes ask the question why should I spend time on going to college when I am actually losing money when I can actually get a job and be working at the time. This special place is where you may be able to find out what you're calling would be and fulfill that dream. As Barack Obama states within the America’s School Children article, “Every single one of you has something that you’re good at. Every single one of you has something to offer. And you have a responsibility to yourself to discover what that is. That’s the opportunity an education can provide”[(Obama)College Board 69]. Education is a place where opportunities are given and it is a place where you will be able to further your knowledge on whatever your passion is. So people should go to college because when you have opportunities you can find out new things, and maybe one of those things may be something that you enjoy. Due to going to College you would be able to figure out your calling, and you would be able to fulfill your dream on how hard you are willing to work to get to the top of the mountain. Some may say it is luck to be able to find these careers and become successful in them. I believe that luck is a mix a being prepared while opportunities are coming your way. With these opportunities and your preparation you would not be able to be successful, but you would be able to further your education in whatever you need to
