There are a lot of skills needed to achieve good grades and to have an excellent academic level. In order to be successful, students need good study skills. Study skills are a set of skills which help students become effective learners (Oxford Dictionaries | English, 2017). This strategy of study helps students become more effective and make the studying easier by using a lot of skills and a productive learning method. It is a method to learn and a key to be successful in all types of studies. When people read or study they do it to have a better understanding and to learn something new. There are many benefits of study skills.

Study skills improve students time management,

Important benefits of study skills include good use of time. This is one of the important advantages of study skills. Being able to manage your time efficiently allows you to do more with your time therefore improve your productivity.

Study skills can teach the student how to use his memory and to concentrate more in their studies. Good concentration helps to understand your work. It also helps to learn how to make the exams preparation easier to get good marks and be successful.

Good team work skills are an important study skill because throughout your life you will need to study and work with different types of people. Being able to work well with others is good because you can learn from them and teach each

Also, it teaches them to take notes to understand more and to learn more vocabulary. It specifically allows them to be more focused during their classes.

Problems that study skills cannot solve

In some situations, study skills cannot be the key to being successful. Different people have different problems. These include personal life, mental state, or parental problems (see Figure 2 below). Study skills cannot teach the student how to avoid these problems. The student needs to learn to be motivated because if there is motivation the student will be more confident. Also, he needs to study in a good environment to be psychologically comfortable because when the student feels free and happy, he can do his best to get good grades.

Conclusion

In conclusion, study skills are a very good key for students to learn good competences of studying to be more successful and more confident to achieve success in all their studies. However, they cannot teach students how to be motivated or give them solutions to some life
