As a military officer in the Army I can relate to all that you mentioned in your discussion. Being younger than your enlisted subordinates provides you the opportunity to learn from your subordinates; especially your senior enlisted Air Force personnel. Ask them for their opinions on certain areas that you may struggle with. It shows that you are humble and interested in learning. It also shows your senior enlisted personnel that you value their insights. This relates to perceived organizational support, which is one of the four workplace attitudes that managers should track (Kinicki & Fugate, 2016, p. 50). By understanding organizational behavior, managers or employees will know how people react to certain situations, how different personalities view the world, or process information to make decisions. Other areas that encompass organizational behaviors are job dissatisfaction or the attitudes of employees while at work. Popović, Maletić, and Paunović (2015) conducted a study on employee satisfaction by interviewing employees at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade in Zemun. This study aimed to identify the causes of employees’ job satisfaction/dissatisfaction, in order to implement measures to improve employee satisfaction and to help improve business performance. Cognitive Component
An employee’s ideas or beliefs about a subject demonstrates the cognitive component of an attitude.
Behavioral Component This component deals with what an employee intends or is expected to do about someone or something.
