Technology Gems in Medical Science – Virtual & Augmented Reality
Medical industry rapidly adopting innovative technology in these past years and its keep growing in coming years too. Healthcare industry has enthusiastically adopted innovative technology, ranging from robotic pill dispensers to AI systems that organize medical data. Automated records, IoT, 3D printing and musicalized smartphones have all been explored as new technological avenues for use in the industry, giving patients more power over their own medical information, streamlining administrative processes and finding ways to overcome traditional problems. Technology gave medical industry too much compatibility to handle these complicated operations in much better and simpler way.
Tech-gems:
Medical industry is billion dollar industry and investing a lot in innovation and growth of new technologies and equipments to make it safer and easier for everyone. AR (Augmented reality) & VR (Virtual reality) are also included in those technology which made medical science more effective and safer. As we all know AR & VR both came in existence through gaming world, but now it's used in many different sectors and medical

AR/VR training applications won’t replace medical teachers, because students will still be expected to carry out procedures on human patients. For this, they will need human guidance. However, trainees will receive far more virtual direction before they attempt real life operations or treatments, because it puts them in a more knowledgeable position. This, along with apps like AccuVein, is positively impacting patient experience by generally providing a better level of
The limitations are to be addressed such as lack of infrastructure, high start-up cost and optimal funding need to be allocated. At this point of time it is apposite to to plan for the future through this recommendations using the telehelath, good governance, maintain good infrastructure, patient awareness and implementing the laws. Implementations of all this will transform the current health care into technological advanced health care. There by reaching being more feasible to clinicians and patients.
Another emerging technology is the 3D printer. The 3D printer allows people to print hearing aids, functioning prosthetic limbs, prosthetics that let people feel everything they touch with it, and replica skulls being created from patients CT
It has been argued that the shift towards patient-conscious medical aid is necessary and that simulation in its widest sense can be used to support this process. However, sensitivity to what we are simulating is essential, especially when simulations purport to address patient perspectives. The essay first reviews the history of medical education "centeredness," then outlines ways in which real and simulated patients are currently involved in medical education. Patient-focused simulation is described as a means of offering patients' perspectives during the acquisition of clinical procedural and surgical skills. The authors draw on their experiences of developing Patient-focused simulation and preliminary work to "authenticate" simulations from patient perspectives.
The passing of the Hi-Tech Act in conjunction with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) created a platform that has allowed for electronic medical records and health information system to become some of the defining factors for high quality service in health care. Both of these act have been key in pushing the standards of health care to the next level of high quality care. Before their passing, there was little to no reason for to health organizations to make such a costly switch to something that, at the time seemed, not worth the investment. Kaiser Permanente as long since been a big name in pushing the boundaries for health information. The truth of the matter was that both the Hi-Tech Act and the ACA did not have a hand in Kaiser’s decision
For several years, the United Health Group has dealt with technology to ensure well-organized and effective maneuver and provide groundbreaking products as well as answer to member, henceforth facilities provided via the Optum business section, as Optum provides data diagnostic, healthcare technology and consulting facilities to every healthcare bionetwork stakeholder (Vij,
The use of satellites for remote monitoring of patients has also led to the development of new techniques for diagnosing and treating diseases. Additionally, the use of computers and the internet has led to the creation of electronic health records and the development of new medical imaging techniques. These advancements have greatly improved the quality of healthcare and have made it more accessible to people around the

Primarily, the use of VR (virtual reality) was viewed as appreciated only to scientists and engineers whose very particular needs, dealt with the meager quality of the 3D images generated from the computer. For example,
As an integral part of the healthcare team, nursing has evolved tremendously. In Nurse of the Future Nursing Core Competencies a picture was painted of what the future of nursing looks like. From my own opinion I do feel that a reform or evolution in nursing education is required to create competent nurses of the future. Current nursing school programs are academic heavy with an emphasis on skills. While growing competency in clinical skills is necessary, there is much more to the future of nursing than being highly skilled.

AR places digital content on top of the physical world you see around you. For example, with AR you wouldn’t need a phone to view information rather it could be right here floating in front of you. C. Mixed reality: Now that we know what VR and AR is we can understand what mixed reality is. MR is simply a mix of VR and AR. What it does is allow its users to place augmented digital content within their surroundings and interact with them in real time.
Virtual reality has improved access to medical training for surgeons across the world. In the near future, surgical students
Whether it’s a mundane or practical application like instructions in a piece of equipment or medical information of a patient or something more a little complex like taking situational awareness information presenting it to a soldier or to a police men, augmented reality seems to have such a great advance impact in technology and has become an important aspect of
Pantelidis [4] undertook in-depth review of multiple research papers and she highlighted the reasons to use VR in education and training. It gave an invaluable perspective of the teacher and student as enlisted hereunder. • Promotes constructivist learning. • Can be effective for special needs students. • Teachers became facilitators.
Other than that, it also has discovered of many drugs and medicines that can be help to prevent a variety of diseases that can lead to fatal and harassment. Besides that, medical research has developed magnificently. Millions of lives have been saved because of this benefit. Here are some of the benefits of technology in this
