Application Essay For Computer Science Graduate Study

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

In this era of technology, every other day there are innovations that keep evolving not only technically, but also hold boundless scope for creativity and logic. I feel a sense of pride and exhilaration in being so closely associated with the field of computer science. My keen interest in computers and the desire to forge ahead in this field has propelled me to pursue graduate studies.
To start with my academics, I completed my schooling in Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Vijayawada, where I was guided and supported in every possible way to make me an all-rounder. The vast exposure to social-science exhibitions and Olympiads has helped me develop better in the field of science. I’ve successfully passed every academic milestone and have always ranked amongst the top three. I’ve secured 89.2% in my secondary school and 90% in my high school at Narayana Junior College.

I’ve done a paper presentation on Web 2.0 in TechNIT, a national level fest conducted by NIT Surathkal. Also, I have organized a Technical seminar event in Techciezko 2K13 and a technical quiz competition in my college, and this event taught me the importance of team work. I have also hosted many events and fests in my college. I am an active sportsperson as well. I am the captain of the volleyball team and an avid table-tennis player. Apart from this, I love portrait sketching and painting. This is one activity that really relaxes me from all the stress.
