But, his mindset of the previous class also followed him there too. As he continues to struggle in the college prep class, he then adapt to the new pace and the work load, but the same learning methods for a college prep class. Eventually, he found his way into his life and tap into his true potential. In his English class, he met a teacher name, Mr. MacFarland, he is one of the good teachers that really changed Rose's perspective on school. Eventually they became close.
In the story “Me Talk Pretty One Day” by David Sedaris. He writes about a personal experience in where he was attending a French class and was mistreated by the teacher. Sedaris explains how the teacher would make fun of the students and the mistakes they would make. Through the story Sedaris, paints a picture of how he felt whenever his teacher would insult every student’s introduction to the class without making a fool of ourselves. He wanted the audience to know that when someone tries to bring you down you do not let yourself and being yourself back up.
Public school is one of the primary sources of education for many children in the United States, therefore it should be the school 's sole purpose to teach them the essential elements they need to succeed in life. This means more than teaching math, science, history, and English. A school, primarily high school, must provide courses that focus on a student 's future career plans, courses that challenge a student academically, and courses that help a student navigate their life as adults. Without classes that help students expand and delve into their future career choices, they can limit their views of success. Lives on the Boundaries by Mike Rose is an inspirational text. Throughout the text Rose is battling with loss and depression, but continues to strive to satisfy his educators. Mike Rose wasn’t the type of student who would go above and beyond to prove himself unless he had some push from his professors. Luckily he received this push throughout his entire educational career. Once an individual receives the invitation it provides a window of opportunity, a support system with the educators, and allows the student to see their potential in the pursuit of greater education.

Imagine going to school just for the heck of it , going to school just to meet up with friends and have fun. People happen to think that schools are just showing off and not really teaching because school are basically competing with eachother to see who ever is the best school. On my perspective we are not learning anything benefical because will we carry everything we learned throughout our entire lives? What happens if we are in college and didn 't need everythings.
The definition of failure is the lack of success. I have experienced failure a large number of times in my life as a student, an athlete, and as a daughter. I’m not saying that I haven’t experienced success before, because that’s just not what I am trying to say. My failures are what stick with me more than my successes, because they have lessons that are teaching me the rights and the wrongs. My success’ are important to me but it’s harder for me to remember those who don’t teach me something like my failures do.

The hard truth is, no one can be anything they want to be. Some people are simply not cut out to be engineers, doctors, or psychologists.
