Obtaining a degree should be first priority for any individual who is seeking success. Education is so crucial that if it’s not achieved it may then lead to societal embarrassment and even get left behind in this world that is evolving every day. According to YMCA George Williams College (2015), education is defined as the knowledge, skill, and understanding that you get from attending a school, college, or university. Furthermore, the debate as to where you should get that degree/education from, locally or abroad, is going on for some while now. With both there are pros and cons.

Purpose of the research
This research is to examine the benefits of studying abroad versus locally. This study is also being created so that we can educate students about why or why not they should be considering going overseas to study, or why stay at home and get their degrees.

Significant of the study
The aim of the study is to investigate if it is better to study abroad or locally. This study will provide credible information that can assist students with choosing whether they want to go abroad to get their education or stay at home and achieve their degrees.

Definition of Terms
The following definitions guided the study: Education- The process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, especially at a school or university. Studying- Devote time and attention to acquiring knowledge on (an academic subject), especially by means of books.
