Nurse Practitioner, professional health care I wish to pursue because of, caring for people, getting paid a lot, working a set schedule. I have been interested in being a Nurse Practitioner for about a year or two2. I have always had an interest in the medical field, but being a nurse really hooked me, because they are always in need and they are payed well.
I experienced no moment of divine intervention, nor followed the example of a respected relative’s career, my career development decision making was based on a gradual recognition that nursing would be the perfect vocation for me. I have come to realise that nurses are faced with considerable emotional and professional demands, taking responsibility for the quality of people’s lives, which can be seen as a major challenge. I believe I am a person who welcomes, enjoys and would embrace this challenge. My main source of inspiration to become a nurse comes from an innate desire in making a positive difference in people’s lives. I am fascinated by all aspects of nursing and I want to go on to expand my knowledge and develop my transferable skills and ability in caring for others.
My childhood initiated a desire to help prevent and mitigate injury or illness; this soon flourished into an interest in the health care field. To help narrow my choices I explored as many science courses as I could. Talking with health care professionals and reading nursing textbooks I found in my aunt’s house piqued my interest in the nursing field and patient care. From there, I completed a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course which further solidified my decision. Now, I am fully invested in becoming a nurse.
This degree will acclaim myself as a registered nurse, this type of nurses are responsible for caring and educating patients about their current conditions and at best to help them improve by carrying out duties such as to “perform physical exams, provide health promotion, administer medications” (nursingworld.org) and much more. I strongly envision that this career choice fits properly for me. The decision to be someone that cares for people, someone who needs to commit to learn, someone designed to have the hunger to work further only seems justifying for myself. The inspiration to be this someone came from my parents, teachers, friends and especially coaches. My parents who always remind me to be the finest caretaker I can be in this big family, my teachers, specifically one of them is Ms.Kelly, who influences me to always output my best self and reminds me that I can reach heights in life, my loving friend, Austyn Ah Choy, who never fails to note to me that I have the ability to show everyone that I can achieve greatness, and lastly my softball coaches who never give up on me and who help build my engagement towards hard work.

Pediatric nursing is a great career choice because I will have the opportunity to interact with young children and help them. Also, there are many job opportunities in this field. The jobs for Pediatric Nurses are increasing over the years. It would be easy to find a good job in the field of Pediatric Nursing, while still working on improving my career. I plan to approach my career by going to college and working as a RN to gain some experience.
I believe a job as a certified nurse assistant will give me a better insight while working beside nurses and observe what set of skills nurses use. My strengths that best suit my personality and this program are determination, effort, caring, critical thinker, discipline, and enthusiastic. These qualities would reflect on a nurse and would make caring for the patient easier. I believe that I belong in the nursing field, because ever since I was a child, I always wanted to make a positive influence in people's lives.
Although I am intrigued by the human body and everything that it can do, I have a passion for providing care. I firmly believe that the desire I have to help is what determined my decision to pursue nursing. When I graduate and obtain my baccalaureate degree, I hope to begin my journey in the Emergency Room or in the Labor and Delivery Unit. I am attracted to the E.R.

Role of Family Nurse Practitioners: Case Study The shortage of primary care physicians has been a problem in health care system and will continue to the next decade due to increasing of aging population. According to National Governors Association (NAG) (2012), the growth of the aging population combined with the initiative of the Affordable Care Act, the problem of primary care providers shortage is worsening. Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are educated and prepared to perform primary care services as physicians do. More importantly, studies showed that NPs’ role as primary care providers achieve equal or higher patient satisfaction rates (Evangelista et al., 2011, Albers-Heitner et al., 2013).
The online Family Nurse Practitioner program at Drexel University was the first program I considered when deciding to continue my education. As a working professional, I appreciate its online plan of study that gives me independence so I could continue with my career while getting the education needed to achieve my goal as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I value that Drexel University’s online programs follow the same high academic standards and accreditation as programs on campus, resulting in receiving the same outstanding education. From attending the undergraduate BSN ACE program of Drexel University, I have obtained exceptional education and valuable skills that was needed to be a Registered Nurse. I have bloomed from being a task-oriented
A person was just in a serious car crash, they flew out the window and broke they 're neck, yet they get through it because of a person who was there to help them through the frightening memories, the pain, and stress; the nurse practitioner. A nurse practitioner does a variety of tasks in a hospital. A nurse practitioner is a higher position than a regular nurse. A nurse practitioner requires a Masters degree from an accredited program, some licenses, passing an exam, and good communication.
Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. This is something that I have an abundance of, which is why nursing is the career field I will be entering. In general, nurses provide care to sick individuals. Nursing is a tough profession; however, between the working conditions, education required, and salary, nursing is well worth the time and money.
