BPO Industry: Fallback or Not BACKGROUND / RATIONALE With the continuing changes in the roles and future endeavors of Communication students not only in productions but also in society, it is not surprising that most of them prefer to acquire financial support in BPO industries while and after getting a degree. Opportunities from such industry is not something one should let pass by. The number of students who works in the BPO industry is on a steady climb since college finances are also getting more demanding and burdening not only physically, mentally but also financially to the students, parents, guardians and to those who support them. The secondary target of the campaign are those students who are in need of additional financial resources that are willing to explore their opportunities in such field while studying. The tertiary target of the public campaign are the school administration not only in the College of Communication but also the University’s to engage them in such projects and seminars to provide additional option for those struggling students and also eliminate the negative connotation to the BPO industry through proper education. KEY MESSAGE Being a part of the BPO industry for almost a decade, the creator of this campaign have heard all stereotyping and labelling to the job description. The profession has been tagged as an occupation for those who have not graduated, which is generally correct but not entirely true. Once the campaign is finalized and approved by the college, a preparation committee will be composed to identify the POC’s (point of contact) responsible for the whole campaign. By having a separate POC for the campaign, we are to eliminate any additional burden to the CG officers that will be involved, as they are students as well who needs to allot time to their academics. The POC’s will be directly responsible for the mobility and progression of the campaign. The start of the preparation will be a soft launch of the campaign in a form of registration for the interested students of the college. Through the list of students that will come up after the registration, ample work force and proper venue will be determined for the activity to be operational. Then additional improvement of the plan will be determined for it to be completely feasible. A deliberation panel will be formed and will be asked to determine the speakers, alumni and advisors of the campaign that will directly work with the POCs. These people will be pivotal since they will the pool for topics for discussion; subject matter for expertise and source of prospect
