The benefits of being an average student are very limited. Most of the times I only push myself to do the necessary. Despite this, the phrase “better safe than sorry” has become my personal motto in many aspects. Honestly, my comfort zone is very tight, this resulting in not having too many options regarding personal development. Thus, I opt to stay in the safe zone. Regardless, there are areas where I admit my performance can improve without much effort. Speak of because I at least try to be better than the majority. Precedent of this is my ability to communicate in different foreign languages. This field has been always attractive to me. I have never ceased my desire to learn about new languages. I have left many things without conclusion because of this. I tend to embrace the idea that if something does not get resolved quickly; it means I am not capable of solving it for myself at all. I end relying on other people’s opinions a lot, and at the same time, I solve those problems basing on other’s experiences. Nonetheless, my previous negative experiences do not signify a suggestion of future failures. I try my best to leave that habit. In order to improve these practices, I appreciate my own effort. It may sound silly, but the self-esteem in this aspect plays a powerful role. This negative aspect of me also affects classmates, as I do not have much patience. Even though I enjoy helping people with their personal obstacles, I tend to frustrate even more when somebody is struggling and do not comprehend instructions easily. In order to make myself a true ESL teacher and be able to help students not only to accomplish their goal of a single activity, I will have to start to embrace my own weaknesses. Exactly as I do with my classmates, I have to make an effort and keep on going by myself. Looking for help with other people has to be only to learn from them, not to expect them to solve
