Mid Semester Goals

MID-SEMESTER GOALS 1. To have all A’s by midterms. 2. Score a B or better on all my midterm exams. 3. Network more with people in my field of interest. SPECIFIC ACTIONS TO TAKE TO ACHIEVE THESE GOALS: In order to achieve my goal of having all A’s by midterms, I will have to study hard and not be afraid to ask for help or for more clarity of something. These actions also apply to my goal of scoring a B or higher on my midterm exams. Studying hard in order to have good grades means that I will have to sacrifice things like going out on the weekends and leisure time. Since I am taking different classes this semester my study approach might have to change according to the subject. To achieve my goal of polishing my resume I need to gradually add things as I do them and I also need to have as many pairs of eyes look at my resume as I can. The more the better. To achieve my goal of obtaining more leadership responsibility at my retail job I need to first ask and then show and prove. Continuing to show up on time and work hard during every shift will prove to my managers that I have what it takes to become a leader like them in the workplace. HOW THESE ACTIONS CONTRIBUTE TO YOUR OVERALL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND SUCCESS: Making the Dean’s List and including it on my resume will show my dedication and drive I have in pursuing my degree, which will help give future employers a glimpse into my hard working nature. Making my resume the best I can make it at this point in my life will help contribute to my development and success because it could land me an internship that turns into a full-time position in the future.
