Music and sports will make you a better version of yourself, the best version. Being musical or sporty should be encouraged amongst students because it helps us in all aspects of our lives, both academically and socially.

What are the benefits of sports in your life? Let us analyze the benefits on physical health. The US Department of Health and Human Services shows the positive correlation of physical activity and various aspects of health. Increase in physical activity shows positive impacts on a number of systems: cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, metabolic, endocrine and immune systems. (Coalter, 2012) From this we can conclude that people who are regularly active have far lower mortality rates from those who don’t. Regular physical activity will reduce many chronic conditions, such as: coronary heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes, cancer, obesity, mental health problems as well as musculoskeletal conditions. (Coalter, 2012) Furthermore there are also positive psychological impacts of sport on our lives. Some might argue that sports will limit the amount of time you have to study. I completely disagree. Studies show a positive correlation between sport and education attainment. Because sports takes up time, students will be forced into studying harder to make up for the time lost doing sports, hence increasing not only productivity, but time management. Furthermore, because of the combination of time taken up doing sports and studying, the chance of doing harmful recreational activities such as drugs and excessive alcoholic consumption is decreased.
