During the field trip, which was held Thursday, February 22, 2018, I have made a lot of realizations. This was the most spectacular and interesting trip ever! First, we went to the Thronateeska Heritage Center where we watched two movies. One was called Oasis In Space and the other was called Plastic Paradise. In between the movies, we went on a scavenger hunt to find objects and learn about them. They were in categories from astronomy to meteorology to natural science. After that we went to the Flint Riverquarium to do another scavenger hunt, exhibit animals in the aviary and water, and learn about herpetology in the lab. Our very first stop was the planetarium to view a movie called Oasis In Space. That is when we met Ms. …show more content…
The dome screen was such a picturesque thing to look at in the planetarium. I can still remember what the narrator said, “Water, our most precious source. Without it, life would not exist.” Subsequently, we went on an entertaining science scavenger hunt. There were nine sections of the museum hunt. There was archeology, hydrology, paleontology, timeline, astronomy, meteorology, natural science, air and space, and virtual science. In the natural science section, the kaleidoscope was out of order. “Oh no, the kaleidoscope is not working!” Langston (a girl in my group) said. During the scavenger hunt, we (my group) passed by the meteorology area and found a green screen that you could go in front of and pretend to be a meteorologist or weatherman. Then you could see yourself in the television screen to the right. In the virtual science unit, we got to play many different cool games. We had to stand in front of another green screen and then look the television screen and move around to play the game. For example; we had to jump to block the hole above us, etc. In the astronomy category, we had to draw a constellation from the big circle wall and we had many to choose from. Overall, we learned a

My overall experience was excellent. During our first stop at a region that was site of the San Fernando Earthquake, we had the opportunity to know the major factor of the San Fernando Earthquake. I learned about the magnitude of the earthquake as well as the type of fault that was associated. On our second stop at the Placertia Canyon, we leaned material about Francisco Lopez discovery of gold in the Placertia Canyon; however, his gold rush only lasted six years. In our third stop at the San Gabriel Mountains Anorthosite, we learned material about the anorthosite intrusive igneous body that cooled 1.2 billion years ago.
Isn’t it fun to explore? Me and Sadaf Dabiri visited the California State Railroad Museum on October 11th. The mission of the California State Railroad Museum is to collect, preserve, study, exhibit, and interpret selected aspects of railroads and railroading, with an emphasis on California and the West, for the education, enjoyment and entertainment of the widest possible audience. This museum has been one of the most superlative railroad museums I have visited.
So after our visit to Cedar Lake we set off on our way to the badlands. Now this isn't going to be like the kind of story where i talk about our amazing time their and skip all the driving. This is about the trip their and the many of complications but many of miracles. Our trip to the badlands is one of the most inspirational parts of this entire book. Their are many of places and times when God really reveales himself to us and shows us his great mercy.
Scicon informal letter Dear 5th grader, First of all, if you enjoy the outdoors, like to learn, love to walk on tiny, little trails and admire nature then Scicon is the right place for you. There are so many things that you can do while at Scicon, it includes arts and crafts, campfires, plays of the hermit stories, bird watching and so many more, that if I tell you everything that includes having fun at Scicon then there wouldn 't be any surprises for you and it would take up the whole letter. Next year if you plan on going to Scicon (which you should, I mean it 's a good idea) you should be looking forward to finding out what cabin you are in and who your counselor is. Also, on Wednesday you will get to pick your elective
The feel of sand reminds me of ludington michigan. Although it might rained every time I went there it was one of my favorite camping trips ever. ludington was a beautiful place to camp, r.v., and visit. It was one of those places where you wish you could stay longer after every day. One day my family decided to camping for a couple of days, because we had nothing to do for that week.
At the beginning, we were kind of disappointed when the ticket seller told us that a half of the exhibit was currently closed. Because we did not see anyone come to us as a tour guide, we decided to discover everything here by ourselves and latterly found it very interesting even though it was our first
This summer I had so much fun doing outdoor activities. On a birthday trip to Pigeon Forge, TN, with my family, we did a ropes course, went zip lining, and went rafting. Doing all those activities in one day filled me with excitement and fear at the same time. At the end of the day, I was tired but happy!
The summer of 2017 I went with my uncle to Wisconsin Dells. It was my first time going to Wisconsin Dells. There were so many things to experience at the waterpark from the long lines of people, to the many water slides, to the loudness and the smell of chlorine. We arrived at the waterpark at about ten o’clock. There weren 't very many people there.
The Museum twice as much experience as any other museum. The Florida Museum of Natural History has many indoor exhibits that I can relate to because of my family origins. I found the Indian exhibit very interesting due to the fact that I am part Indian. The Indian exhibit offers the opportunity to see where my heritage originated from and what the culture was about.
My proudest achievement would be getting into Cumberland International Early College and making it oy my senior year. The three years I have spent at Cumberland International have been very difficult because of many reasons such as being on the campus of Fayetteville State University, taking almost two years of high school in only two semesters, and being pushed to excel from the beginning in order to prepare to take full level college courses by our tenth grade year. Although I struggled during my time at CIECHS it was a truly amazing opportunity to be accepted as the third graduating class of its time. Being at a school that had only been running for two full years has both positive and negative aspects. We were changing the curriculum
Dear 5th grade students, I think you should go to Scicon cause it 's fun and educational and is a one in a lifetime thing. If you don 't go to scicon you will miss out of a week of fun. Scicon is a save place to be and fun at the same time. You will go on hikes and learn things about nature. You also get to meet people and make good friends.
From a very young age, I’ve always been interested in science and its ability to explain natural phenomena, so naturally, I have been attracted to the South Florida Science Museum since birth. It all started with a “mad scientist” themed birthday party I had at the museum in third grade. I remember being fascinated by the exotic oceanic creatures in the touch tank and the experiments, which I thought were magic (because how else could white powder (baking soda) and a clear liquid (vinegar) make a volcano?). I knew that when I grew up, I wanted to work at the science museum so I could experience this level of joy every day.
There I explored all of the different STEM fields. From the experience I have developed a love for biology and learning how small things affect larger things in the world around me. The next summer I participated in the Summer Science Research
At the Morris Museum of art is home to a wide-ranging and permanent collection of works of art dating from the early eighteenth century to the present. It also presents special exhibits of a rich variety of art celebrating the culture of the South. I took several photos of my favorite paintings and sucplters. My daughter and I had a lot of fun we went on a free tour and learned a lot about the paitning at the museum and even played a scavenger hunt game.
