Based on the current state of the economy, that is important to have a well-defined target market. Not every company can afford to target everyone. (Mandy Porta, 2017) Therefore, different hotel must have a market that they are targeting. Most of the hotel target their market based on the location and culture. Hilton Kuala Lumpur is targeting the business man that travel to Malaysia. This is because Hilton Kuala Lumpur is near to the KL Sentral. KL Sentral has a lot of public transportation. Therefore, it is easy and convenience to travel around the Kuala Lumpur area. Besides, Hilton Kuala Lumpur provides meeting room to the guest and the guest can have a meeting for their business. Other than that, the target market of Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur is quite similar with Hilton Kuala Lumpur. Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur also targeting the business traveler, but Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur is the nearest hotel to KLCC. Thus, the guest can be a business traveler or semi traveler.
