Personal Statement For Computer Science

As a child, I seemed to possess remarkable characteristics like the curiosity to learn new topics and observing how things work, a fact that my parents brought to light. My keen observation of things around me and my curiosity helped me come up with new ideas, qualities that came in handy when I first encountered a Computer, PC as it was called then, a gift from my parents on my 6th birthday. I was drawn towards it like a magnet, and today I see myself on the threshold of a career in Computers which is the most sought after field of study for my generation, because I ‘ate, drink, slept’ with this ‘wonder machine. I played games, did calculations, drew pictures and virtually lived on it for years. This long drawn affinity towards computer knowledge helped me to learn programming and implement new programming skills.

While still in school, I was worked in a ‘Computer lab’ for the first time, which is where I learned how computers can be useful to students as in ways that cannot be imagined by the common man. I explored all the uses of a computer and learnt many new things on my own. The technological aspects and the utility of computer fascinated me and motivated me to learn more and more about them. My first real-time experience was in ‘DRDO (Defence Research Development Organization)’, a Government of India enterprise and a leading organization which is responsible for the development of technology that benefits the military services in India. This live project was titled “FLASH LOADERS” on C++ &OOP concepts.
