I feel thankful for this life because I could have a lot of friends in my life. For me, it’s really important for someone to build relationship with many people in their adolescence. I still remember one of the best memories in my life is in 14 Sept 2016, when I need to leave Indonesia to go to Japan for study abroad. At that time, I arrived in airport in 6 p.m. and my friends called me to ask whether I will board because they want to have a farewell time with me. Then I told them that I will board on 7.15 p.m. I waited them until 7:10 and they still have not arrived at that time. So I felt really disappointed because I thought they lied to me. Then on 7:15, my parents asked me to go inside to do check in but I asked them for 1 more minutes because I still believed that they would come. Suddenly, I saw around 20 persons ran from the parking lot, and I was so surprised. They still came for me even though they knew the risk that I have left. From here I learn to put my trust on other people, because if you trust on someone, they will trust on you. Moreover, trust is how you build your relationship with other people well. …show more content…
I called that a best memory because I can make my parents proud of me. I can saw tears in their eyes when they hear I was accepted in APU. My parents really wants me to enter APU to follow my sister path in APU. They really want me to be a success person. Moreover they also want me to build my future in Japan. In my life, one thing that I don’t want to regret before I die is to make my parents proud of me. I am not from a rich family but my parents have raised me with a big effort. I feel blessed to have them and I think this is the time to make them proud of me by having good scores in
They instilled in my brain that education is the key for success and happiness, which has always made me try my best in all of my educational pursuits. I do this not only to show appreciation for what my parents have done for me, but for my own sake as well. I am fully aware that there are countless people all over the world that would give anything just to be able to be apart of this country. This gives me the motivation to always push myself to achieve the highest education possible and to go above and beyond to make something out of my
I realized that my parents actually have faith on me that I will have a better life. They sacrificed so much for me so that I could have a decent life. Although moving and trying to adapt to another country and learning the language was not easy for me, but I was able to overcome all those challenges. In high school, I was one of the honor society
If we as humans can weed out the people who aren’t trustworthy, on a small and large scale, there won’t be as much conflict, but if we fail to do this then hostility will still be at ease worldwide. Friends betraying others in junior high are major issus and resolving the issue as a whole is highly unlikely, but if we separated those we could trust with those we can’t it would save us all the headache. So, is letting go of trust the key to survival? After reading this book I believe trust is still something that is appreciated from the right people, but from the wrong people, the results can be
As a first generation college student, I have the desire to not only make my parents proud of my academic achievements, but to be the first person in my family to receive a college degree. At a very young age, I was always expected to receive A’s and B’s in my school assignments, as well as my final grades. However, I was never rewarded or congratulated whenever I did receive those grades because it was already expected of me to achieve them. Hence, a time in which I have experienced failure but also felt like I let my family down was when I received a D in my Critical Thinking course I was already retaking for the second time. The first time I took Critical Thinking was during the summer in which it was an 8-week long course.
Ten years ago, I immigrated to the United States and ever since I have been an undocumented immigrant. Due to my legal status in the United States, I felt like I was restricted from certain situations and possessions and would never be able to succeed. I was not living the normal life of a seven-year-old. Instead, I had to learn to cope and adapt to a whole new culture. Even though the drastic change at such a young age was a challenge, it has shaped who I am today.
Trust is very important in relationships. It is the basis for relationships. It influences what you think about others. When just beginning a relationship there is a lot of initial trust. In The Great Gatsby the beginning tells of Gatsby, and how he is shrouded in mystery and gossip.
The only way to repay them for their sacrifices is to be successful in life. Many people are pressured to do well in school by their parents, teachers, and mentors. However, the burden is not as heavy if you come from a wealthy family. If you come from a lower class family and do not succeed in your education or career, then another generation of poverty begins and you have failed pay back your parents for their struggles of raising a child in the lower class.
Trust is what makes the world go round. Without trust, people wouldn’t know how to live. Sometimes trust can cause a person’s downfall. In Macbeth, trust fools plenty of citizens in Scotland. Although some people may become skeptical too quickly, people should be careful who they trust because people can have bad intentions and betray each other no matter what.

A quote from Doctor Seuss, “Sometime you will know the value of a moment until it become a memory.” What will your legacy be? Everyone wants to be remembered in some way. Whether it is being remembered as the lazy kid who snoozes through class, or the dedicated student who is always prepared for class. For example, a legacy to me is something that is left by a person to be remembered by.
Coming from a low income family, living in a small town in India, I learned early on about struggling and surviving those struggles. I watched my parents working day and night to provide for electricity, pay for our monthly school fees so my sister and I can have a better education, and for the future they wished upon for their children. To further enhance this vision, my father decided for the family and I to immigrate to the US. Everything was different in the sense that I changed schools, learned a new language, had to make new friends, and learned the different culture. I had to adapt to a whole new world, which was a little difficult at 6 years old
Trust yields a sense of safety within a group, when members are safe they become comfortable with each other thus opening up and baring the part of themselves that they would not have done when there was no trust. In an effort to build trust and comfort within the group, I must be innovative and absolutely careful as I am a means of connection between the members. As a Leader, I must be prepared and show interest in members and the group so as to build the foundation of trust. ‘Leaders who show that they are
That morning I woke up early as I had to be at school for 8am. I was very excited. When I got to school the buses that were to take us were already there and teachers were buzzing around making sure that everything was in order and that all students going had their consent forms. Before we left the teachers gathered all the students and told us to be careful, to stay together also for us to remember our manners, we also said a prayer as it was a custom seeing that it is a Presbyterian School. As we boarded the buses, my friends and I all headed to the back of the bus as it was considered for some
